Dr. Phillips, LAc. has trained and taught herbal medicine, and offers only the highest quality, third party tested herbal prescriptions to his patients.
Breath is life; unfortunately many of us don't do it as well as we should. This is due to a lifetime of stress, postural issues, and injuries. The Traditional East Asians that gave rise to many of the medical practices used at NP Acupuncture believed that by moving in certain ways they could unlock a wellspring of longevity. While we don't believe in magic, healthy movement is key to healthy living. While not every visit will include traditional movements, Dr. Phillips, LAc. has been practicing Qigong for almost forty years and when it seems appropriate will teach and guide you in these practices as part of your program.
While NP Acupuncture is not a fitness center and we may not lift weights together, research has demonstrated that regular activity and maintaining healthy lean muscle mass is one of the leading contributors to healthy longevity. We will take time to discuss plans, programs, and exercises that will support your journey to long term health.
Like exercise, we don't provide specific diet counselling like a nutritionist might, but we will discuss general eating habits to make sure you understand the principles that will support a healthy metabolism and long term improvement.
They say it takes a village, and NP Acupuncture is not a one stop shop. We have worked to cultivate relationships with a wide range of medical professionals so that we can help direct and refer you for whatever additional support and care you may need.
